Learning to Follow Christ Together

About

Wolf Pond Baptist Church was established in 1895 to serve people by sharing the message of life and hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ. We believe that our 119 year heritage as a church does not serve as an anchor to weigh us down, but as a rudder to guide us into the future.  We are thankful to have had the opportunity to serve for the last 119 years, but we are even more excited about what lies ahead in the future. As a church, we understand that ministry and the way we do ministry may change through the years but Jesus' message of life and hope does not.  At Wolf Pond, we consider it a great privilege to be a part of Jesus' mission and we want to do all we can to see His mission to completion.

  Where We Are
We are located in South Carolina just off of Hwy 207 (Wolf Pond Rd.) about 15 minutes south of Monroe, N.C.(literally within sight of the N.C. state line). Being located where we are gives us the opportunity to serve people in both Chesterfield County South Carolina and Union County North Carolina.
Our address is: 78 Wolf Pond Church Rd., Pageland, S.C. 29728

Who We Are
We are a growing family of people who want to become all that Jesus wants us to be.  We love being together as a church family and sharing time with each other.  We are excited about ministry and serving others and we welcome everyone to come and be a part of what God is doing here.  Our services are a little more traditional but not formal and never dull.  We want everyone to be comfortable and come as they are. We are members of the Southern Baptist Convention, the South Carolina Baptist State Convention and the Chesterfield County, S.C. Baptist Association.

What We Believe
We believe that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the only way to have eternal life. Jesus says in John 17:3, "This is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." The word "know" that Jesus uses here is important because it means to have a "personal relationship" not a "personal knowledge". In other words, just knowing about God is not sufficient; God wants us to have a personal relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. At Wolf Pond, we believe that living in a personal relationship with Christ means loving Him and following Him as Lord of our lives.

About the Bible
We believe the Bible is God's revelation of Himself to man in written form. We believe the BIble is our only rule, for faith, doctrine and life. Therefore, everything we believe and teach has to come from the foundation of the Bible. We believe the Bible is inspired by God using the personalities of its authors to give us His exact message.  We believe the Bible is without error, and abosolutely true. The Bible is God's Word and we trust it with our lives.
